Houston Bronze Launches Fundraiser! ReSTORE Harmony A "Spa day" for bells
Even handbells need a little pampering to keep them sounding their best. A "SPA day" for a handbell involves a thorough cleaning, inspection, and maintenance routine to ensure optimal performance and longevity. As we begin our 2025-2026 season, we will launch a fundraising campaign to refurbish our bells. Our last fundraiser was held in 2014 when we raised money to purchase our 7th octave of bells. It was also in that year that we last refurbished our bells. All of our bells are now, once again, in need of a day at the spa. The cost of this will be about $30,000. We have put it off for as long as we could, but realized last spring as we auditioned different bells from various sets for intonation purposes, that the time was NOW to RESTORE HARMONY to our bells. It is our hope that we are able to achieve this goal by the end of this 2025-26 season. We need your help to make this happen. In August of this year, we received a generous gift from the estate of a former member of Houston Bronze, Judy Clayton. This special gift from our dear friend will serve as the seed to our campaign.
